The chest 2D, 2L from the entrance…I cast unlock on it and it would not stay open, it kept auto shutting. I could see it had an adamantium cowl in it, but there was no way I could loot it.

That chest is unlocked by one of the Northern Buttons after the all Wasp Healer fight. However, that chest never has anything worth while which means that skipping the Northern fights is in your best interest, since the fight is probably the most difficult in the dungeon and the far left button kills you after the fight. When I run GH, I generally just take the south wing on the east side, hit all the levers, then complete the West side of the dungeon. Only good drops come from The Queen, Last 3 Chests, and random drops off any of the mobs.
