I keep getting disconnected from server with the following error:
NETERR: Your connection to the realm server has dropped. This program will exit now and you will have to relaunch it to re-establish your connection.
script 60020, ip 0x33
Then I try to log back in, and I get this error:
This account is currently in use. You are only allowed to use the account on one machine at a time.
Please fix this. It's happened to me several times today, and it's really making it hard to play the game.
If this is happen like you say I would suggest restarting your router and internet modem. NETERR means that it is losing connecting to the server.
Except that none of my other persistent connection applications are having any issues. RDP stays connected, ConnectWise Control sessions are uninterrupted.
Even if it WAS my modem/router (which it's not), there should still be a mechanism for logging in after this happens. To have to just sit there for several minutes trying to log in is absurd. Maybe get prompted to log out any characters who are logged in to proceed? Or just log back in to where the character is? Basically any number of things other than what it currently does.
there is a mech for when the account is ghosted like what is happening to you. only issue is it is a heartbeat from server to client and you need to miss x amount before it auto disconnects the account. add the realm server to your firewall with full unrestricted access, it may allow the heartbeat to respond faster.
Also can you log into your modem (not router) and look at the dropped packets? I had a node card on ISP side having this issue in past and they had to replace it but if you power cycle the modem and wait 5 min b4 power back on it should try to connect to a different node card for the 8 bands down.
