I've tested the spell on two different wizards across several different mobs. Ratlings, necromancers, bats, trolls and imps, using both fairy summons and necromancer summons. Mobs still beeline straight towards the caster. Even a summoned mob directly in front of them when they end their turn gets ignored.
I did notice one instance where a fairy queen's summoned fairy drew mob aggro, but not while I was invisible.
I believe all non-player creatures have see invisibility now.
I can't find any kind of patch notes reflecting a change like that, which is causing me a ton of confusion.
Common misconception. All mobs have always had see invis (Or at least most?). If an invis player didn't have a summon, the mob would still come for them, and still hit them.
It's the AI that's changed. In the past, they would attack the summon or nearest instead of the caster. Now I think they generally ignore the summon, or target the caster first. Either way.
It's hinted at here: https://realmserver.com/forum/general/what-s-different-between-despothes-grove-and-finvarra-s-fortress
Updated AI for many monsters: Minotaurs, Wardens, Paladins, Wasps, and more!
So, due to the targeting changes, is invisibility pointless now?

In my opinion, in PvE, yes. However, maybe some mobs exist that still target the summon over the invis caster? I havn't tested enough to say for sure.
Still very useful, or maybe boringly critical, in PvP.

The thing is though, in my opinion, it shouldn't be pointless, especially in PvE. So in that regard, it definitely is a bug, even if it's intentional by the devs for some unfathomable reason. Just like hunger/thirst. Now that those are no longer a thing, what's the point of cornucopia or eating and drinking? Maybe change the hunger/thirst thing into a couple buffs when you are full or something, so that an entire set of items is not invalidated. The way I see it, everything that exists within the game should have meaning or purpose. If a balance change happens that invalidates a thing's meaning or purpose, it should be given a new one, or re-balanced again, so that it has one again.
