Item bound to account without equipping

So I bought a mirage claymore off a reputable character, and promptly went to perm it - successfully if I may brag. But! My caster in on one game account and my hitter is on another. None of the 3 people who touched the sword equipped it (Seller, My hitter, nor My caster). In fact both my toons were wearing shields at the time so I couldn't have equipped it.

Anyways, after perming it, I try to EQ on my hitter and it's already bound…. to my caster. Reiterating that no one equipped it. Now I have a FIVE banged MC sitting on my floor, unusable, slowly rusting away.

Any help?

I think the problem is this.. If you right click on that BoE item.. it will become bound to you even if you did NOT equip it.. I think they should look into this problem but dont know if its intended..

I know that was an issue, but I thought they fixed it - maybe not yet. I will contend to the possibility of accidentally right clicking, but yeah shouldn't bind until actually equipping. Would a Mage Hat bind to a thief's account even though the nature of the item is limited to wizards? God I'd hope not

Can we at least get an acknowledgement that BoE is cantankerous?

Imagine

It is cantankerous. Any right click on the item will attempt to bind it to that account, regardless of being actually equipped.
