Missing character

I logged off Seacrystal and when I logged back in, he is not in the line of playable characters. although his house exists. the character is missing lol. I been on him all morning and now cant get back on. Any Ideas on what I can do?

What server are you trying to access? I see Seacrystal on Despothes Grove but not on Finvarra's Fortress.

Perhaps you are trying to access the wrong game client from the launcher?

Its on the new server. finvarra's. . All my other characters are there but seacrystal is missing.

Okay, I even logged off my desktop and got my laptop out and tried again lol. Still Seacrystal is missing.. I just don't get it! lol I was on Finvarra's Forset. New account too..

Gimli. Do you have any idea what I should try to do to recover my character? I had it to lvl 602 and I only had the account for 3 weeks. I got 3 other chars on that account, Ikale, DoubleXpecs, and TripleCrown. Seacrystal was my wizard #4. All the others are there when I log in to play, all but seacrystal. Like I said. His house is still ingame too and I can go there also, but cant get the character …

For what it’s worth, I’m also missing a character (Hugh, a 3k Wiz), that was last logged in this AM. However, just like the OP, his house is still there. I’ve submitted a ticket - thanks.

Can you guys let me know what you were doing before you logged out?

Running HRax and then repaired items 1S Asgard tele and then alt-f4'd the accounts.

What time did you log out at approximately?

1015-1045 cst I believe

Can you recall any other unique activity you did on the character affected? Maybe certain rooms, usable items, learning skills?

For 1.5 hours ran HRax casting fireball, hitting the button and going back in. Hugh is never a leader and just follows the pack. At the end, group tele, repair and log. Occasionally leave the dungeon to kill some WBs but this morning I just got EoN 3 times and that was earlier. I dyed his shield royal purple - I didn't do that with any other character, but that wasnt right before I logged.

Bug types that qualify:

Exploitable bugs that allow you to break the economy (e.g. duping, hacking)
Exploitable bugs that allow you to bypass game restrictions (e.g. bypass bind on equip restrictions, class restrictions, level restrictions, noble citizen restrictions)
(Sometimes) bugs that will cause the server to crash

No not a buggy baldric in this case sorry :(

If any other characters were missing let us know and we will restore them from a backup.

I've just submitted a ticket as well, two of my 3k toons are gone from my accounts this morning, including Ruhk. Hopefully it won't take too long to get them back. It's pretty disconcerting when something you've put that much time into is just gone one day.

For transparency, we detected a hardware degradation on our database last night so we took the server down to perform maintenance. There were a very small amount of characters impacted fortunately.

Thanks again Gimli for getting our chars back. I took Hugh to hunt and now crash every time I open his spell list. I noticed his favorites have multiple copies of Home and random spells added. I tried to remove the manually, but I think there may be over a 1000 spells on his favorite list due to this bug/glitch. Is there any way you can just reset the favorite list so I will stop crashing and I can just re-add everything? Thanks.

My characters are back (thanks very much!) but Ruhk is missing close to 10 mil in gold and a master helm that I crafted and chanted yesterday morning after I found a Faf's eye. Is there possibly a more recent backup that could be restored?

Not to sound ungrateful here but I'm avoiding playing the game altogether in the hope that you'll be able to restore my character fully. Finding a Cael's Hide and Faf's eye in the same day isn't a common occurrence and I'd rather not have to do it again unnecessarily. Is this a possibility or am I sitting around letting my noble subscription waste away for no reason?
