Today we had a new client, first of i downloaded it and it worked.Then when i was online i was thinking of open up alt char so i clicked on the realm file to open it…..Up comes the Update window and all it says is "Updateing the realm" And —-[ Opening Patch File PATCH01.RTP ]—- and then it dont download any files it is stuck….I cant login cause i dont get pass the update window. I tryed download the C+++ file and installed that also if it was something i didnt have but no it is not working:(
Uninstall, clear the pc's temp files, reboot, download a new copy of the client, install it, run it as an admin, see if it patches. It should work this time.
Can you try uninstalling and then reinstalling the game?
Can you copy and paste the entirety of the messages verbatim from the patcher window?
"—-[ Opening Patch File PATCH01.RTP ]—-" –Thats what it says when i try to update the game. and i tryed remove and install many many times and removed/cleaned temp files……tryed install the game with and without haveing skype open if there was a issue there.
i cant even close down the window i have to use ctrl alt delete and then shut down the client cause its been stuck.
What OS are you running the game on?
Can you get it to freeze, then right click on wlaunch.exe in task mgr and instead of End Process, select Create Dump File and send us the dump file it creates?

tryed to follow the trace of the DMP file but i get lost after ANDREA~1\ cant find a map called AppData anywhere.
I manage to remove some files so i this time saw the update downloading…..But when game try to extracte the files i get same error message
Can i find Realm somewhere in Regeditor?
Try turning off any antivirus programs you have running. Sometimes an antivirus can cause install and update issues. You can make exceptions the antivirus programs for the entire Realm install folder. That could be a cause.
