At the end of Greater Hives, if you die sitting on the log to open the middle chest it takes away the button to sit, and to open/enter doors. It is repeatable, happened to me twice before I realized what caused it. Specifically, sit on the log, die from the spell, then click "try harder" to respawn, I'm not sure if going home remedies it. After you come back to life you can't sit on the log again, and if you use the button to back to the cave entrance, you can't leave through the door. A good ol "turn it off and on again" fixes it.
