I didnt have one equipped when i first died in town (my fault) and someone dropped one of me. I resurrected the next day and equipped that ring then died a few minutes later at 9:35am PST character name Zero.
The first was my fault, but i only had 30k gold now down to 21k…Sucks!

You just lost 1000 experience points.
It actually never mentioned anything about eating anywhere so this seems odd.
If you put on your ring while you still haven't eaten or drank anything it'll still behave like this. You put on a RoEN AFTER your already good. It's behaved this way as long as I can remember.
I did not know that. So the ring does not magically feed me like i thought?
As far as I'm aware you'll need to make sure your in a good state before you put the ring on. After that you'll be fine as long as you keep the ring on.
Yea, it actually makes sense…It probably just suspends whatever countdown is in place for nourishment instead of filling it like i originally thought. Disregard this post!
Also cant i just eat the ring next time???? Kidding!
As people have said, you have to make sure you’re already in a nourished state before you wear it. It’s one of those things that is not intuitive, but many know that have been here a while.
