Spell Books Disappeared

I was trying to organize and in doing so several of my spell books disappeared.

I had a backpack on the floor of my house engraved "Spell Books" that contained all of my unorganized spell books.
I also had backpacks on the floor engraved fior each magic type for example "Sorcerer Backpack""
I then picked up an empty backpack and named it like "Sorcerer Spells Backpack"
Then I equipped that backpack.
Then I looked in the Spellbooks backpack and began clicking on take for each book that belonged to the spell type I was currently organizing, in this example, Sorcery Spells.
After I finished taking all of the spells which automatically went into my equipped backpack, I looked in the "Sorcerer Backpack" that was on the floor.
Then I unequipped the"Sorcerer Spells Backpack" that I was wearing and dragged out into the "Sorcerer Backpack"
I did this for all five types of spells.
Then when I checked the contents of the Spells Backpacks, many of them were be empty.

My house door was closed the entire time and I was using the teleport and home spell to go back and forth for dyes to color the backpacks during the organization process.

The thing that would be most helpful would be if you or someone else could get this to reliably happen again including the steps to make it happen.

The books did eventually start showing up in the backpacks again as if nothing had ever happened. I'll try later to see if I'm able to reproduce it.

This is not a book glitch, it is a BACKPACK glitch that's been happening for years. I'm not sure what the best way to fix your problem, but when I have disappearing backpack items I /reset and things are magically back in the pack. It can be pretty scary to think you've lost something important, but if it's in a pack, it's still there, you just can't see it.

Bells - thanks for the clarification. If anyone has a list of steps to follow that reliably causes this, we can fix it up.
