Stint
I would like to offer a suggestion for improving what I view as one of the most significant tokens of achievement in The Realm: the baldric. I greatly appreciate the changes that were made to baldric drops (more frequently earn new colors than in previous version of the game). I do not, however, appreciate the risk of blowing up the only token I have of my esteemed and hard earned level to an unsuccessful enchantment. For me, a functional player, I prefer not to carry items in my inventory that I do not use, as I would increase the risk of accidentally dropping or selling them and add unnecessary weight to my character. Therefore, I want to enchant and use what I carry. I also want to wear my level baldric proudly, but I know that every time I press that spell I am risking blowing up many hours of work without clear line of sight to regain the item. The baldric is the only accomplishment that we can wear uniquely because of our work in leveling and I think that's a cool system, but I feel like the enchant rate should be increased for EARNED baldrics (not drop-only that can be regained by finding or buying another). If I could have 100% enchant rate for 1x-5x and then normal chant rates beyond that, I feel it would be easier to sport what I've already earned. I assume that would be accompanied by some unique designation of the item to my character (similar to sticky decor items). If enchant rates can't be changed, then maybe a shop could be implemented so that once I've earned the level I could purchase additionally character-bound baldrics to enchant my heart away. The price can be steep like rare dyes; that would be a fine price to pay so that I can chant with confidence. The shop idea would also give some flexibility in changing enchants as needed on a more easily replaceable item when my gear changes. Lastly, it would help with sinking more money in the economy.
Just some thoughts! Happy Realming!
