What change? There's no change noted to bounties in the recent patch. I highly doubt they ninja changed this without putting it in the announcements. This is is most likely just a case of RNG doing RNG things.
He's talking about the 600 weapons being removed from bounties, which wasn't in the patch notes but Gimli mentioned on channel.
Not just that; I've opened like 6 and they've all be empty. Its almost as if the drop rate for rares has been reduced in bounties and the game itself.
I don't love the current bounty system either. It's a rare drop, that then rarely has something valuable. I don't like the double RNG associated. I'd rather see bounties themselves be more rare and then when you get one know that it's going to have something valuable inside. I don't mean it has to always have a weapon, but something from the "rare" list like even a Gambler key, plate of invuln, something. The double RNG yielding empty, strynx, or mundane belts just feels terrible.
Treasure boxes not having any actual treasure in them is pretty classic Realm though /// dungeon boss chest = bottle of dye and someones eating plate. Not that it stings any less..
I've had good luck with the Thieves bounty, those usually have something in them. But the others for like higher caves, usually they are empty or they give a plain useless cheap belt.
