Copper sales nerfed?

Just curious, since there was nothing mentioned in the patch notes, was it intentional to nerf copper item resale to vendors? We used to be able to get the same value in coppers as the vendor sale price and now pre-patch items are worth zero and post-patch items are worth not much more.
Those of us who got copper items in the GD before the patch werent aware the trade value of our items would disappear with patch.

If it was meant to stem the large supply of coppers that were traded from legacy server, the one person who got a ton of them most likely hasnt bought any decorations, therefore the only people the nerf hurts, are people who got high copper items fair and square in the GD and now have lawn decorations nobody really wants.
