I know this is a common complaint with more games than the realm , but really i see people quitting or unsubbing due to running dungeons 30-40-50 times for nothing . Run that dungeon for weeks on end for 1 item and still not getting it sometimes not getting anything of value in general . I understand rare items are rare items , glowie items being one of them i get it . But when you have people farming a dungeon for 1 item for crafting , or for 1 shield or one spell book or one trinket and getting nothing over a blue text drop….thats just garbage . I love this game have been around like most people since the late 90's , but one thing i can say for certain is that the drop rates alone are making people stop playing . Why pay or play for 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 8 hours or whatever for literally nothing . Its a bit much guys and i really think the drop rates need to be looked at. Playing a game to hunt for rare items is why i like to play , but if im having to do 50 runs in 1 dungeon and still not get it ? At what point do i and others just go why even run it ? why even play ? to get ShopFood ? The items dont even drop so people cant even buy the items , everyone in trade channel selling same items cause nothing else is dropping . I know im not the only one with this complaint of running a dungeon countless times for vendor trash
Just to add , even during a "loot bonus" lots items still are close to non existent . a bonus on a .01% drop rate isnt really a bonus . Very disheartening

I have to agree with Deadpool on this subject. I have run Greater Hives over 40 times in the last few days and even with the double exp and Loot boost found nothing of value at all. I have also run Holy caves, Nakots, Holy caves, and several other caves with nothing but 1 piece of expert Armor. Thus meaning in 80 runs with 1 exp item? Dragon Pit is under preforming, One can run this cave 20 to 40 times a day and get nothing at all, even the shop food is terrible and often does not cover the cost of repairs of a full team.
Underground is terrible, I have personally run this cave over 40 times in a few days and not found anything in it above a blue item or two. For a paid cave its really depressing.
Other heroics I also feel need a good looking into. If we pay for a sub then surely that should give better loots, After all how does one get the trinkets, spell and skill for a prestige account if nothing is dropping?
Many people complain about the lack of drops and the lack of items for sale on trade channel. Everyone has the same items to sell that no one needs or wants any longer. Items like Weighted aegis shields, Fury points, Storm callers, Cleave and bleeds just are not dropping and are in high demand. This could be a way to get the market level back on track with a few adjustments to the loot tables / drop rate.
Items like Fafs eye, Dark Bargain, cons bible, and a few others I can understand being harder to farm for. But when one runs thiefs hole for a simple stinger 40 times and gets nothing or runs Targoths tomb 20 times to get one piece of fam gear and gives up?
Its all great to have bonus exp time.. but when your level 1k and still having to wear pro items because you leveled faster but with nothing to wear is not fun.
With 6 3k's , i know some people have more :P , having ran HC 40-50 times if not more , and only getting 1 bible ? Something needs to give . I dont want something to drop every other round but like Hex , having ran something 40 times and getting nothing but blue items ? Paid or not paid that just seems wrong to be getting such horrible loot .
If we want more people to play , having things actually drop is a big part i would think . I hope others chime in as well cause i know there is more than 2 people who feel this way . I like to hunt , i like finding loot but man…finding loot is just not happening it seems lately . The "gamble" you take when opening a chest , at the end of HC or DP just to find it EMPTY ?!?! 2 of the harder end game dungeons , and an EMPTY chest is even a possibility ? Or even just potions ? I will let other players rant cause i could keep going . I dont think anyone just wants things "handed" to them or given to them so often that it defeats the point of hunting or "gambling" per se , but no one wants to run a end game dungeon for a potion and pro gear either or empty chest . How would you feel if we made HC and CoD noble-zones (similar to avalon) but also gave it a boost to drop rates? In general, non-noble zones have lower drop rates to account for free accounts botting through it - despite our best efforts to combat botting.

Adding content to paid is not the option. Increase drop rates across the board. Fish our cheaters but do not punish the non cheating community because of some bad apples. That’s illogical. A lot of games do this they ruin their game to try to counter cheaters. Please focus on fixing loot, adding dungeons to paid accounts only is not remotely a solution. Fix free dungeon drops more then paid. If you want to incentivize people going paid show them that if they want that next best gear and it be actually worthe paying to get. Please please please fix free and paid dungeons loot, give guaranteed drops on every dungeon run. Scale the guaranteed loot depending on the difficulty of dungeon.

This is a BAD option. In general drop rates are down throughout the entire game. If you take away HC and CoD from the regular players I feel that many people would leave game for sure. What you need to do is take a look at the loot system and tweak it. It should not be at all possible for a player to run 100's of caves and get nothing and I do mean nothing.. not even a pro item.
4 days ago I paid for 6 subs and prestige 6 accounts, since then I have gained over 400 levels. During this time and in hot zones and Non hotzones, with paid accounts, I have personally found 1 pair of prof boots and a Vulcan edge, both items worthless in todays market.
Now as you said above, NON noble zones have lower drops rates… OK so how is that a player can run 100 or more heroics (PAID caves) and still get nothing? It does not make any sense to me at all to pay for one or more accounts and still get nothing.
In general the game and the design is amazing, and the work your doing great.. but honestly drop rates need to be fixed. The in game market is dying slowly with everyone selling the same old junk that is no longer needed or even relevant to the game now.
Would be cool if they added tokens that can be used to redeem dungeon drops.
Then getting items wouldn't be entirely reliant on having favorable RNG and there would at least be some reward waiting after numerous dungeon runs.

This is not what he meant about token. When you clear a dungeon you receive a token, there would be a vendor that gives that dungeons specific loot for tokens. This way if you ran HC 25 times you would be guaranteed to get the rarest item from the dungeon with tokens. It allows for dead caves with no loot to provide incentive to run them. Now if they make the drops bind on pickup that you get from vendor killing the market further.
I get it. Although I like the fact of not being "guaranteed" a loot… although indeed I believe we should make it interesting to log in more often and get a better chance at loot than currently.
Best I got from HC on 10 runs in the past months is a 10 copper bauble… ! Seriously. To the point I stop running it.

Yeah it pretty much is I guess, maybe just expanding silver vendor shop to include high-end drops from dungeons in addition to lvl 600 weaps.
I hope they don’t put all the loot into silver, need motivation to run each dungeon individually if they just put it into all silvers, then will just find the most efficient way to farm silvers and constantly run it. I hope this isn’t the method

I’m Personally happy with how the drop rate is. But that’s just me.
With such a tiny player base you have to be careful about increasing drop rates. I get the frustration of running caves 50 times or whatever, and not getting an amazing drop. Been there done that. But if everyone gets everything after 10-25 runs or whatever then I counter with the same argument. What fun is it to be guaranteed the best cave item after x amount of runs? If ur all about just having all the pixels, and not having to work for it kool. IMO that would ruin the excitement of actually finding something. Trade is already mostly non existent(not enough players), and this would make it completely non existent. For those that cant wait to have an item let them MTX whatever they want and make it account bound. Realm can make some money and drive player growth. This is not a PVP game, and better gear/skills doesnt really make anything significantly easier. You can multi box anything in this game with nothing but exp gear easily. I mean realistically what are the items people MUST have that cannot be bought in trade(albeit expensive). It's basically some prestige skills, glowies, faf eye(atm), and maybe some weapons(which can be bought with silvers now). Does not having Cleave rank 3 or 4 ruin the game? Does not having rare cosmetics ruin the game? No it does not. Some luck and time/effort will eventually get you most things you want, but you may have to pay up. Outside of ultra rare things anything is attainable.
Any focus on game changes need to drive "some" player growth. I know that is not an easy thing to do. But the realm really only needs 500-1k+ players to be significantly better. That really equates to like 250+ real ppl playing the game. More ppl will lead to more items being found, and an economy with a chance of existing.
Like many of you I've played Realm since the 90's. I do not want it to die. Any changes must be well thought out, and have at least some community involvement. Any change will upset some of course, and that makes any change very challenging.
I have to agree that something has to be done about drop rates. I have run so many caves without getting Boss items or I just get shop food. I have 7 toons that I am still providing Master Gear for and the Boss items are always welcome as are the silvers. I have a total of 8 noble accounts and 1 regular account. I love this game, but sometimes wonder if it is worth the money. I have don't play for hours on end, I am a casual player, that is why I don't have all my characters maxed out. However when I do play, I spend several hours on the on the game at one time and expect to find something worthwhile. I like silvers a lot. I don't like the of one token a day. I think one token per dungeon. Thanks Gimli for your ideas and support.
Ya I’m quitting and unsubbing if the next update does not address drop rates. I pay for 6 accounts noble, and you will be losing those subs, I recommend everyone else stop paying for this game till they step up and address this issue. There are not enough players to justify low drop rates, the economy is trash. Gearing up new players is a headache. The staff clearly don’t play their own game, or spend 3 days in dp farming to receive absolutely nothing. It’s a joke, there are no double xp events, no staff interaction in game outside of pointless over used events. There should be weekend xp/ loot buffs every weekend. Do something stop focusing on unity and help the current player base enjoy the game.
Drop Rates are worse again
