The game has such a huge color palate can clothing that is rare colored drop from monsters. This is essential to the game and the loot system. Id like to find a robe that is jet black and sparkly like the Evil Minions club with a special name and possibly stats. Or they could just be mundane items but really rare and colored,
I've said it before as well rare dyes dropping themselves would be super awesome and appreciated.
I'd like it, too. But there's alot I would do with spicing up the clothing colors. I don't think it's high on the priority list because they're working on the coding and stuff, but I would really like to see clothing patterns and more colors and stuff.
In their private server (gone) they made glowie dyes and a few kinda "flat" dye. Some were cave rewards some were gm items. All of them were awesome.
This has been my biggest source of frustration. I hear of all these dungeon exclusive dyes on MW. We had FIN, NB, YMMB colors, etc already existing. They took fin out of the tables and made them rare gambler den items mostly. Removed/didn't add any dungeon dyes.
Unfortunately 1) the devs don't really read the forums much, your best chance to provide feedback is in the Discord server/chat rooms which are like 100 times more likely to get a response or interaction
2) after many times of questioning this I was told they plan to make most of this stuff MTX/Cash shop items. I personally feel fin, NB, and some of the existing content should be in drop tables with new/custom dyes being in MTX. Right now we just don't have a lot of options and unfortunately it appears they ran the MW server with a little more flair and fun in mind up to this point.
@EoD_RealmBoy I agree. I liked the Mistwalkers server so much better in so many ways. I thought it was going to be the same here, but it's far from it. And the drop rate is worse and limited to per cave, which is awful. Who wants to run the same cave a million times just to get one item because that's the only place it drops. I'd rather have it spread out better. They should just put the dyes back in the game. I'm not sure if they are worried that they don't have enough exclusive content. They would if they would let players design some stuff for the game. But we really don't have the tools to do that. And they seem focused on just the programming right now. I'm not sure what will happen in the future.
Alright time to do some myth busting:
- The dungeon drop rates are higher on FF than they were on MW
- The dungeon drops strategy is the same: always specific items in specific dungeons. This is not different between FF and MW
- Dyes were removed as we are moving them to the MTX store. This has been a very transparent strategy since the beginning (see the very first post in this forum in announcements)
- We do read the feedback - An absence of a response is not proof that we are not reading it. If you are seeking conversational feedback then discord is definitely better. If you want to provide critical feedback with discussion, the forum is better as it's more permanent than a chat room.
- Cosmetics are high on the priority list and is what I have been working on (supporting MicroTx) for the past several weeks. We aim on introducing new dyes, new baldrics, helmets, and so on.
Thanks for the input, Gimli. I agree that this move has been transparent and I feel that our feedback has been considered. I look forward to seeing these additions!

Is the market released yet? I wanna' buy stuff on the market…. mmmmaaaaarrrrkkkkketttttttt!
Is it possible to add a bunch of rare random dyes to the drop tables and to MTX? I mean I would farm all day for rare colors that drop in the world. The game needs lootable dyes.
I do see more drops on certain things. My complaint is more of that I would like to see the things drop more spread out in the entire gameworld. I just don't like having to mine one cave to get what I need because it either won't drop anywhere else, or it's like a one percent drop elsewhere. Running the same cave over and over gets old real fast. I did feel it was spread out more in MistWalkers like that. I would like to see the stuff spread out for overworld fighting, so we have a real reason to fight above ground.
@Carrigon I completely agree with this. Drops in the overworld and in dungeons would be great.
I think the scale seems to be set about right. I wanted to get a set of the L1 weapons and I only had to run the dungeons 3-4 times before I got one of each. The L250 weapons are of course harder and take 10-15 runs, etc. Since I'm usually in those zones anyways it made good sense to have several runs already.
Plus, you can always just buy them. L1 weapons are cheap, L250 are kinda' cheap, and L500+ are stupid expensive (as they should be).
It would be nice if the NPCs that live around a dungeon had a chance of dropping the items of their respective dungeons. Heck, I'd farm overland for the items if that were the case (sword)
Yes, that's my biggest wish right now. I would really like to see a chance of drops above ground, especially those that are near the caves, they should drop what the cave would drop. There are days where I just want to hunt above ground, but right now, it's a big waste, mostly. I have found bounty boxes doing that. But I would like a good chance of finding other stuff to make it worthwhile.
Are fleshies still a thing? Found some BoN's that seem to match my complexion

I still think having some of these items as drops would be great or else everything will just be "buy from mtx" More lootable items keeps the game fun. So Gimili, why not have both MTX exclusive stuff and new rare cosmetics that drop. It's the one thing a lot of people are wanting.
Just so this isnt missed xpost from discord:
"i just hope the MTX doesn't become the exlusive color and helmet buying place. Because that simply sucks the fun out of finding cool cosmetic loot items. Glowies are restricted to the Den now, Flesh and orange dye cost a ridiculous amount of gold from vendors. Why not have these dyes and others drop as bottles that are rare?
There is currently not a lot of fun in personalizing toons with cool rare colors.
I 've talked to many other players about this and they seem to agree
Some cool colors would be like red/outlined white, Jet black, More blue flashy colors etc
i'd pay to see these as loot drops."
New player here … but I think you'll be able to earn the new currency through game play and spend it on dyes. So kind of same same but different.
Like Khego says, it's already been mentioned that you will be able to salvage rare items in order to get the MTX currency in order to buy the dyes. So even entirely free to play players will be able to get the dyes they are looking for. It's same same, but different.
Drops in the overworld and in dungeons would be great.
I agree buffing overworld somewhat could be helpful, but the flip side of that is - if dungeon gear was available overworld off very easy single mobs why would anyone ever do dungeons.

Be realistic, as a customer you are wanting everything, for free. As a game developer you really only have one chance to implement things where you want them, as changing how you get them or how hard they are to obtain after the fact is a sure fire way to irritate your community - just look a GBoNs. They're actually in the correct place now in my mind (The Den) but because they were in Thieves Hole on game release people feel as if the move to a Den was a massive nerf, whereas if they were in The Den on release that wouldn't even be a debate.
Basically > If they add dyes to drop tables, get low MTX sales and a lack of funding for game costs / future development. Removing the dyes from any drop tables to increase MTX sales would be seen as cheap, unfair and a huge nerf. Whereas if they simply start in there exclusively and with pure transparency the dev team has shown (as has been the case if you've followed the discussions for a long time) then I see no issues with it.
They want to provide a very open free to play experience without pay to win aspects. Be understanding and accepting that in order for that to happen the devs need some way of getting money to continue the development into the future. They aren't holding anything over your heads, they're being analytical and realistic, as you should be. You can't have it all. If you want it you can start saving up rare gear to salvage, or drop a few $ when the MTX is added. It's no biggie, they aren't compulsory items.
I didnt realize thats how they were planning to do the MTX so you can use ingame currency to buy stuff as well? I was gonna say Ive worked for some gaming companies and this is a good approach.
No need to rip apart my suggestion. This is why its a suggestion. I am allowed to have my own opinions you dont need to go on a rant and tell me how wrong and stupid I am it's not constructive.
