New Suggestion
Tome of Unbinding - When used you will get a select icon, select an item and it will no longer be bound to your account.

I would argue against this just as I would argue against anything that improves enchant success - we need ways to take items out of circulation, and with insurance the binding system is one of the only ways.

Schlep

I don't care how it happens, I want my Green Light Flesh Dye back. It hurt my eyes. It was so absurd.

Neeley

I would like to see a consumable item that prevents items from being destroyed when an enchantment fails. It would do nothing to increase the very low chances of 6x items. I would even use them to protect high value items on all enchants. I could even see this as an in-game vendor bought item at 1m a pop.

Sidhe

So a person can then spend real money, some random sub say between $5 and $5000, to get a 6x item? That’s pay to win and gambling rolled up into a bundle of ruined game.

Neeley

do 6x items really provide that much of a benefit? I was under the impression it was more of a novelty item to 6x something. Can't you obtain all Shields, S/d/r/ia, and only have to 4x your items? I guess weapons could get FIVESD, but thats the only place i can see a 6x being useful - 5-5000 for 0.5 str of dex…

Sidhe

I mean I put $5000 as a mock upper bound but of course it’s actually unbounded. Independent chance events and all that.

Endal

@Neeley 6x is absolutely a vanity effect for everything but weapons (FIVESD as you said). Though they have introduced several weapons in the game that make that possible with the current weapons that are giving venom, electric, fire, etc already on the items making it so you can FIVESD items right now with a 5x cast.

Also, since Regen only stacks up to 5 and then it's not effective anymore, there's no reason to put Regen on everything in your pack.

Sidhe

6x isn’t 100% vanity right now because 6xing cheap slots like robe/skirt, backpack, baldric means less risk required on valuable gear like HC jewelry. Basically someone with a few 6xs gains a large financial advantage over time because they blow up less expensive stuff.

Also it would suck from a design perspective to back the devs into a corner where if they want to add new enchants/perms 6x becomes a much bigger deal. Best to leave that design space open to them.

Neeley

I'm sorry but that just doesn't make any sense. No one would spend tons to 6x an item so they have less risk on HC jewelry when you could purchase the same item that allowed you to 6x another item that created this advantage. Also if the items were implemented as a 1m cost of something then it would be cheaper to just burn through 5x robes/skirts until you hit the 6x anyway especially if they implement the sorcery prestige for enchanting.

Sidhe

I was referring just to the fact that 6x isn’t solely for vanity, not the pricing, MTX, etc.

I refuse to use micro-transactions and think they have generally been the death of the MMO genre.
I'd prefer no micro transactions and a higher sub cost if money is the issue.

Jhaerik

God you're always such a jackass.

I don't know why you're incapable of having a conversation anywhere (game, forums, discord) without it devolving into some ridiculous name calling session.

Pay to Win is selling advantages directly. Having items be tradable isn't that.

Nobody is calling SWTOR pay to win with their tradable items. Nobody is calling WoW pay to win with their sellable tokens.

Although I don't see any issue with them being tradable, I also don't see any issue with them not.

But honestly, at this point I hope they make them tradable just because it frosts you so much.

Actually a LOT of people called WoW out on pay to win and quit…. WoD basically required you to buy 15k gold weapons if you wanted to raid with a top guild early in the expansion. Also those same weapons where better than the early season PvP rewards. They added these items around the same time they added tokens… Large part of why the player base is 1/4 the size it was a few years ago.

Any time you make a cashshop item tradeable the game instantly becomes pay to win.
In a game where the endgame is basically just collecting items and gold…. if you can straight out buy those things with cash why play the game? Ok… here is $500 I win Realm. Bye.

Micro-transactions kill games.

Home Modifications
1) Moving Day: Being able to relocate your home to the town of your choice (repeatable)
2) Home Skin Modifications: Having a few options for the exterior and interior of your house would be pretty cool, perhaps have 3-4 different options based on the town structure that's already in place. Caer Fandry would be a bit broken down, Usk would have pine trees, Drune would have an elven flair to it, perhaps even have an Orc option that the house is a tent or a shack of some sort.
3) Secure House: With this option, only the house owner can pick up items in the house, perfect for decorators!
4) Additional rooms: Let's set up a cellar, meeting room, training room, storage room, etc in the houses. I know we touched on this in the Guild thread for guild halls, it would be great to have those options for player homes as well. This is actually a pretty easy thing, they would just have to make the stock house hold all of these rooms and doors, but the door is locked unless your account has unlocked the room.

.

Character Modifications
1) Shave and a Haircut: Being able to go back into the face editor
2) Dude looks like a Lady: Gender swap! Random appearance assigned, so you will probably also want a Shave and a Haircut
3) Attribute Reassignment: Using this would get you back to the attribute assignment screen. Great for players who had set stats, got to L1000, and then realized that they have made a huge mistake.
4) Name Change: This one seems easy enough, change a character's name. No real worry about scammers since creating a L1 character on a free account is free.
5) Race Change: I love this idea because I rolled myself an elf and I'd much rather be a human, but don't want to spend two months grinding back up to 1k. Again, random appearance would be applied so you would likely need a Shave and a Haircut and some Attribute Reassignment

.

Account Settings
1) Heroic Access: Allows non-paying players to be allowed to access Heroic Dungeons

.

Items (all of these should be tradeable)
1) Bauble/Potion of Experience: This potion doesn't give you experience, but it allows for a linear 4-hour boost in XP by 25% that will work in tandem with other XP bonuses
2) Bauble/Potion of Nobility: Gives your character one month of Noble Citizen status
3) Mundane Glowies: Glowies are the symbol of the Townie, allowing players to buy a set of cloth glowies would be a great boon for many of us who love the look, but just can't seem to find the right chest to unlock. No magical properties are applied to these items but they can still be enchanted
4) Level Baldrics: Mine poofed, I need another. :(
5) Coppers: Because sometimes waiting to gather enough face-time with the game makers is just too long.
6) Bald Cap: This is a head item that would make your character bald. Why would we want this? Quite simply because it would mean you would have a head item that shows your entire face. We could perhaps expand on this and make different hair styles available, but it would require race/gender checks to wear them. Tie this in with the Tome of Properties suggestion below, and it reall opens up.

.

Controversal Suggestions
1) Tome of Properties: This one is purely cosmetic, I swear! The idea is that you would use the Tome, select a magical bit of gear in your inventory, then select a second bit of gear of the same wear type (chest for chest, leg for leg, etc). The properties are then swapped. This would allow you to turn your Cloth Hood into a Nightmare Helm. The stats would transfer entirely, including the AR, durability, weight… all of it. I love this idea because it opens up a few avenues for us to customize our characters a bit more. I love my Mage's Hat, but I hate my character's face showing. Being able to switch that into a Hood or a Bandanna would be AMAZING! It would also be cool to allow this for items that behave the same way, like a Club that is now a Wrath. This is purely cosmetic, so having a club that throws daggers would be a thing. The one exception to this is the Bald Caps I mentioned above since the race/gender checks are required for those, we may need to make it so that restrictions are still maintained.

There are some creative and interesting ideas here, Endal. This is what I like to see!

Fantastic ideas. I love the one about level baldrics. Keep up the great ideas!

another good one - I like it

Eel

i like to see a take all button on cave chests or a on/off auto loot button in the game options……

Fear

Not sure if this has been mentioned or if it's even possible, but character transfer from one game account to another (all within the same TRO account) would be a nice QOL addition to the store, but I may be the only one who needs it. Gonna go from 2 box to 3 and I've got characters I'd like to pull from one to the other.

XxShAdYxX

I would like to see Baldric Packs akin to the dye packs added. These Baldric Packs would feature Baldrics the same colors as the dyes. For Example: Dark Caribbean Blue Baldric or Shadow Moss Baldric, etc. Baldric Packs would be randomized the same as the dye packs. The only difference would be the price. Probably 3-4 times the price of a dye pack. This would add a lot more customization potential.

TheRealmBeckonsMe

I have an idea in regards to the dyes from the MTX shop. Considering the website and game dont properly align in terms of appearance i was thinking an in game mannequin shop to display the different colors accurately would b a cool idea.

Too easy to level as it is, not worth it for the P2W cries that would ring out. Although I am not against this, so long as it stops before current content, IE 1-1k boost, but not from 1k-2k. Once Prestige 2 comes out, 1-1k boost, 1-2k boost, but not from 2k-3k.

Steve

no, the whole point is i dont want to level. i want to test out multiple 1k/2ks vs a real playerbase what do you win? its me paying to save me time, no impact on literally anyone else in a solo(multibox) game

Then this should be put in place on a test server, away from the live game. A level boost to max level is P2W, as in you can PAY to get MAX LEVEL without having to put ANY EFFORT IN, can't argue that although I am sure you will try, regardless of "why" you want it.

Steve

thats fine too if there were other people on the test server…lets be honest the entire realm existence is a test server

LilGoofsta

Can't argue that. Drop it in and fix it for 4 months. Touche.

Steve

the main reason and this is 100% truth is that i dont want to waste my god da** time leveling to 2k spending tons on baubles and skills to have red or jordan change something that flips all that time upside down.. waste a few bucks no bigge waste hours and hours… ima be pissed thats the truth. i just like to tinker. and there is no "winning" at the realm so i dont get that at all, using a p2w argument is like going full r*****.

kinda like when haste was going to be a thief only skill so i spent large amounts of time making a thief hitter for them to just change that on the fly(which is fine but highlights the loss of time) now the thief hitter has almost nothing "special" from any other toon/class which i guess if that was the intent.. great work
