Paladins in Warriors Abode

While I totally understand buffing Paladins, I believe now that it is possible that Paladins are too strong for Warriors Abode. The dungeon is geared for I believe level 50-100 give or take. Perhaps replacing the Paladins with bosses for Warrior's Abode may scale the difficulty better? I think the HP are fine, the damage though went up quite a bit with the last patch though which makes those fights more out of reach for the level range. Any other ideas/thoughts on this folks?

Dungeons need a major redesign, hopefully it's on their list. There's too many random fights that end up brick walls for people. Like Ezel in DH, if you're strong enough to take that fight on, then the rest of the cave is complete trash and a waste of time. If the rest of the cave is not complete trash and a waste of time, then you're not strong enough to take Ezel on.

I'd put Paladins in WA on that list too, they serve no purpose where they are other than to create a "you cannot pass" barrier for anyone who's in there, level appropriate.

Yes, I had mentioned this in another thread. Paladins are far too high for those who are much lower levels in terms of they cast, they heal. If you can't DW them and your HP is low, your End is basically low, you're just not going to make it. I'm around lvl 155 and I won't touch a Paladin because my HP is still low even with End items. I'm not going to attempt a DW when they can heal a million times on me. The mana cost, even if I managed to kill one, is not worth the fight. And at the end, I might not even get anything for my trouble, so it comes out too expensive. I don't mind having a high level in the dungeon, but not one that can heal and cast like that. I think it's too difficult for that lvl dungeon and too costly with mana. I would like to see it evened a bit. Maybe put a Cyclops in its place. I high lvl Cyclops that's kind of a mini FuFu would be fine. Cyclops don't cast and heal themselves like that.

As a new player and doing this dungeon when i was about level 60 or so farming for a mageblade for my wiz. I enjoyed the paladin fights in the dungeon. I find it was a decent challenge and I had to plan out my moves carefully or I would get roasted. In the end i rarely died to the fight as long as you move away to heal and pay attention to your holds and summon I found the paladin relatively easy to take down and i got my sword. Found it pretty fun.

The one near the devil and bones, I found okay. But I did die to another fight that had both the Paladin and a higher Bounty in it. The funny thing was, both the Paladin and my toon died at nearly the same time. I just didn't have enough HP to survive that fight at that time.

I just did the whole thing with level 50 war/wiz. Granted they were geared, but the pallies hold easy so the fights are a cake walk.

Only if you have a 3square hitter. And "easily" isn't the word I'd use, one shrugged on me 3 times in a row just now and ripped through my warr.

I'm now a lvl 250, hybrid wiz. I can do the paladin before the devil's bones, even when he's got almost 7k health. But I have to wear a full endure set. So my myst is crap doing that. It leaves me with around 110 sdm. But I've found if I stay shifted and invul'd, if I summon two nymphs and one demon, multiblade like crazy, drink a shift potion every six rounds and heal when needed, I can beat him. He does cast banish, but I just keep multiblading. If you can get some poison bolts in there, too, it helps. He doesn't heal much, he's really focused on just shredding you with the sword. I won't do any of the fights that have both a high HP Paladin and a high HP Bounty in them yet. I'm only doing singles on that. When my HP is high enough for me to fight them with at least two roi, then maybe. I fight with a very low armor rating, too, so that kind of hurts me when I'm getting hit. They just slam through troll leather. What I really don't like is the mana cost. I usually find it's not cost effective to do a fight like this. If the drop isn't worth it, it makes the whole fight not really worth it.
