My alt stepped one toe into Bloodwood from Rat Run and immediately got murdered by a Lich. There was no way of knowing I was leaving the Rat Run area by going just one screen over. It's very easy for low levels and newbies to accidentally wander into a higher level area and get jump killed. We need some kind of a popup or a sign post or something that says you are about to enter a higher level area and enter at your own risk. It would help. That or make it so the monsters cannot launch a kill hit when they jump, there is no way to fight back on that, you get hit and you're dead immediately. Even if you could have won the fight, you didn't have a chance.
It's much more fun when a player who played years ago … lets call him TPSeer … wanders into Naktos' morgue, as it was always an easy dungeon… and went ouch very quickly (my advice, avoid there :p)
Part of the game is about adventure - the maps and guides remove a lot of that element from the game, and in many ways lessen it… it might be worth the mobs allowing an easy flee in the first tile or two around ratling run sure, but taking the adventure out entirely? :)
I don't think adventure should be taken out, but there needs to be fairness. Stepping one toe into Bloodwood and immediately getting killed is not fair, as I said. There is no chance to try to fight back. You might be able to even win the fight, but you can't if you are immediately murdered on the first round like that. Something needs to be done with it. That's not adventure, that's getting killed even when you click flee. Flee doesn't work because they cast on you first, so you dead even with clicking on flee. That is a major issue.
And maybe instead of signposts or a warning, they could put something in the teleporter's dialogue that says to becareful of certain areas if you are a lower level, but still, there is no way of knowing when you step into another area. That's the problem. There's no way to know what room you are in to know that the next is a different place. I think that /room thing needs to be fixed or something, and we need an updated game map. That way, you can know exactly where you are.
