I think the spells should be modified a bit. As a wizard it is almost pointless sometimes to cast Mysticism. In the old-school mysticism, it made sense and I am good with that. So, I am good with Mysticism being jacked up like the old-school. However, Deathwish backfires no matter the sdm and it used to be about 120 or 135% sdm would never backfire a Deathwish. In fact, that was the spell to have. It would be based on the casters health, so even some hitters loved to use it with possibly an AoDMP. Anyways, Drain Life can not be cast across the screen and that is stupid. Steal life is the same. Why not be able to Death Touch across the screen? Its like they made it almost impossible to use certain spells and now a Wizard must use Duach's Vengeance and pretty much multi-blade. It would be nice if they modified some of the spells, but not to the point where its overwhelmingly powerful. Just change Drain Life, Steal Life, and Death Touch to anywhere in the combat screen instead of being close enough to touch. Change Deathwish to hit as hard as the casters health and only backfires when below 120 to 135% sdm like it used to in the old-school. Those changes should make the game play a little bit better. Also, I did read a comment about Finvarra not having a spell. That is not a bad idea, but I dont think it should repair all the characters. I think it should be something a bit more for a God Spell. Perhaps repairs all your gear would be nice, but then you never need to go to the store or buy the repair items from the Sovereign Shop. Instead, Finvarra's God Spell could be something else. Mass Invulnerability, Mass Shift. That would be kind of nice to have two spells hit at the same time and for the entire group. Finvarra has armor, which shows protection. Invul and Shift would be interesting as a God Spell because you could cast it on the entire group for protection. Granted, not everyone wants to shift.. but it could last only a round or two.
