The Only God Without a Spell

Seeing how the server is named "Finvarra's Fortress" and Finvarra is the only god without a spell, here's an idea I cooked up for a new god spell. The Grandmaster Mysticism spell, "Finvarra's Forge". Casting this non-combat spell would instantly fully repair all group members in the same screen as the caster. This "mass instant repair" would be for only the cost of the mana to cast the spell. Would be a cool QoL upgrade as well as play into the lore of Finvarra and give him his spell. The visual could be something existing already like spell blast or invuln on all group members within the same screen as the caster. What do you guys think? :D

Any Official thoughts on this? Is a mass repair spell even feasible within the confines of the code?

I'd almost prefer a new spell rather than use it as a god spell

@Gimli Any Spell with Finvarra's name in it is most certainly "a new spell". He is the only god that has NEVER had a spell. (We need to do him justice!) While this spell may seem lackluster to some as a "God Spell". It feeds into his lore as "The God of Smithing" aka "The God of Gear" (IE; Fin cowl, Boots, Shoes, Bracers, Belt, BP, Sash) Repairing gear, the name "Finvarra's Forge"…this is so good!! :( But alas, my main question to you is…Is "Mass Repair" feasible within the code sir? If it's not feasible within the confines of the code, this idea is dead right here.

Gimli (Staff)

Yes it's feasible

@Gimli Do EEEEEEEETTTTTT!! My suggested mana cost is maybe 3k mana? (Another sink of sorts? Never underestimate the laziness of rich folk !) However that is where the Devs come in with what you all feel would be best as not all players run 6 man groups but many do. The balance lies within the mana cost given the average group size.

Gimli (Staff)

We would likely need to make the mana cost proportional (and more expensive) than repairing in shop

just curious how this would actually play along with the story/precursors when Finvarra's description states, 'He denies involvement in the magical arts, preferring a sword to a staff at all times.'

Well "denying involvement with magical arts" and then having all his gear (originally, now only belt) imbued with magical power is a bit contradictory. I'll give you that. But this has always been his lore. He has always been the "God of Magical Gear". One could assume the magic comes from his forge. A spell that "summons" his magical forge to repair all gear would play into that perfectly.

Being a 'god' I have this idea that everything normal to Fin is super-normal or super-natural in the mere mortals eyes. Seems like Fin's tools of trade provide a translation of power that even mortals can experience, or possibly hone. I'm sure you'll never catch Fin casting, but if no one else is looking he'll gild a pouch of your mana to a Fin Claw for added effect.
