Why are some female NPCs stripped naked(!) when they die?

So I know this has been in-game forever, but what is the deal with some Thief and Warrior NPCs losing their clothes when they're killed? As far as I can tell, it only affects women NPCs too–hmm. Any chance we might do away with this (kinda creepy!) quirk?

I was able to replicate this vs. a Female Warrior. I've made the individuals that can potentially fix it aware.
