Pandemonium

I have a few ideas that I personally think would add to the enjoyment of the game.

  1. A tower dungeon. The idea comes from a D&D campaign I played. The tower would begin with fairly easy enemies but as the player travel up the levels it gets more difficult. In the campaign the levels could be infinite until the player exhausted the wizard responsible for the illusion of infinity and the creation of the monsters. Alternatively, there were clues to solving the mystery of the tower and the wizard that could be discovered along the way. By interpretation of these clues and choices in dialog with NPCs along the way the wizard could be persuaded to undo his destructive magic and release the player and his friends.
  2. A true black dye. Everyone wants one. I've noticed that some helms have details and accents that appear darker than the dark grey of the black dye. If these details were added to armor/clothes then the normal black dye would appear darker and provide a more satisfying aesthetic for those players looking for a darker dye.
  3. Displayable weapons/items. It's been explained to me that items can't really be changed to be put on display, such as a weapons rack. I believe a work around could be possible though. Instead of changing the item and potentially breaking some aspect of the game; a new item could be created based on the appearance of the item being put on display. As an example, you want to display your hard earned Wrath. Instead of dropping it on the floor you could purchase a weapons rack in the copper store or obtain one via an event. This item would generate display items that would appear on the screen based on what was placed within it. Once the item was removed the display item would disappear. Similarly, display "racks" could be created for tables, doors, etc. Put it in the basement and I'd be likely to buy one.
  4. Take all for chests and bone piles. Pretty straight forward…
  5. World boss tracking. We have tracking tools but no way to use them. It would be great if we could use tracking to find bosses or items.
  6. Wizard weapons. There are weapons tailored to magic users but they are melee based. Wands are present in game but they are one use items and seem under powered, as if they are designed for melee characters that don't have access to magic. When I decide to play a magic user I don't envision them wielding a sword or dagger in battle. I want them to use a wand or staff. I've heard the idea suggested many times in game but it seems ignored. I don't know why, unless there is some underlying game mechanic that causes it to not work. Ideally if I could have one the wand/staff would be permanently equipped and cause the power of one spell to be boosted. As a balance a resistance to cast of an opposite magic school could be added.

Does anyone have anything to add? Maybe someone could expand on an idea or offer some constructive criticism?

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a tower challenge! standing ovation

Pandemonium

Something visible from the world screen. Like on the horizon getting bigger as you close in…

a 24hr daytime is good but how about a dusk or night time mode? toons can then cast a spell for a light Radius or spotlight/lantern on their helms <about 1hr+ timer> games like Diablo II and World of Warcraft has an daytime/night time mode

Pandemonium

Another idea, because tons of people multi-window to team hunt. In the screenshots of the new client it looked like we would be able to create more than 4 characters per account. It would be great if we could play multiple characters on an account simultaneously. That would make the need to multi-window unnecessary and also make the multi-toon gaming possible on mobile platforms. I imagine combat could be done with tabs over the combat action box, so that we know which character we're directing and to save space. Is this possible?

Pandemonium

How about, keyboard shortcuts in the current client to speed up certain actions? Like, hold ctrl while right clicking to drop items, left click to add them to a pack.

I like the idea of a tower challenge with infinite levels that get harder and harder. Maybe every level there is a chest, and the loot in that chest has a higher and higher chance of containing good loot. There could be a board posted at the entrance to the tower showing the high scores for groups of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 players. Weekly record, monthly record, yearly record for each.
