Elf warrior question

Ions ago i played an elf warrior, wanting to do the same. Any guidance on the best way to spec an elf warrior and/or possibly an adv? Looking at 2h sword or sword/shield type play.

With the newer stat system Dex helps you hit more and have a high chance for a crit strike on a target.
The starting dex for an elf warrior should help you out and then putting most of you points into strength for good damage.

I'm considering trying an elf warr as a "battle tank." The reasonable starting int for an elf will give him some ability to heal. End is low, but high natural Dex for dodge, and RoEs should compensate nicely. With the changes to shields, sword/board seems viable for this kind of character. The loss is overall damage should be outweighed in survivability.

I envision it being very annoying to level, fights will not end quickly, but very difficult to kill.
