Four Fury fight

How do I fight a group of Furys? The group consists of AIEW and ADET.

First, you all drink shift potions, invul, invis. Cast extension, get in the fight. Cast Mass Zerk. Summon, usually a faery queen. Cast Electric Fury till they're gone. With two grouped, you shouldn't have alot of trouble. Heal as needed. Just make sure you have all your shields on because they cast some heavy spells. You can also summon a daemon. I like to summon them because they hit and distract furies.

I usually buff elements protection, mass hold then use stoning and multiblade

Wizzie casts stoning on the group, Thief casts faery queen near the group. Repeat each round until you win. Could even be a pixie, doesn't matter. Only way you lose is if they use Elec Fury, which they usually dont

edit should be a faery queen actually, since it takes longer to cast. You want all the Furies to cast their spells before you summon, that way you have a living summon at the start of the next round for them to cast on. Do NOT summon a melee type (necro summons) as it will make them shift!

Summon Faery Queen. That's all you need!

Invisibility on both players. Enter fight. Cast Summon Faery Queen and place directly in front of the Furies. It doesn't matter how much health your Faery Queens have, you just need a body, that doesn't melee, to be somewhere next to the Furies. The idea is to get the Furies to cast Stoning, Fireball, or Acid Rain on the Queens. This will also damage the Furies and they will end up killing themselves!

Vera posted this ages ago and I find that it still works now.

Note that this won't work on heroic furies - they have a different spellbook to regular ones (they cast myst spells, self-heal, and prefer Electric Fury). I'm not sure what the best way to handle them is, short of being a wizard who can CC and blast them back.

Carrigon

The heroic sound really hard. You'd need high level's with alot of HP for that. I'd still try to zerk or cast fear. Then see if you could summon as many fq's or demons as you could in there. Even though alot of people say not to summon demons, the reason I do is because they distract the furies and it usually makes the furies cast on the demon and not on you. So I'd probably try that, then maybe fireball them. But I'd want to be in there with a high level tank to hit them, too, or a high level wiz to also cast. I don't think I'd try to solo heroic.

The weakness of heroic furies is relatively low health (~7k), which means high-level wizards can blat them with a Crushing Boulder and eventually stun & kill them. It's harder for other classes because heroic furies use EF, so summons aren't much use against them, and their natural phase-dodge means they will sometimes heal faster than you can hurt them. Heroic imp kings (for example) self-heal as well as dropping massive earthquakes, death wishes, casting confusion, and summoning elementals–but I still find them much easier to 1v1 with my elf thrower…

heroic dungeons are absolutely the most fun things, though!

For non-heroic furies, I prefer daemons, with their necro resist and higher health to FQ's - you should be using multiblade to kill them anyway, so it doesn't matter if the little fuckers shift

Carrigon

When I'm doing lone Furies, I summon a demon and I usually use Warp Mind, but Multiblade is good, too. The demon distracts the fury and they usually just cast on him. The only time I get hit is if they use EF. I just used this same method for the two furies in FHP, I summoned two demons. It worked the same. They shift, but they cast mostly on the demons unless they're EFing or casting fireball.

EF is always the killer, you just have to hope you get them down before it.

In a 2 person group, multiblade is the way to go, use the thief to summon every round, and wizz to burn them down with MB. FQ/Daemon, it doesn't really matter, as long as you have a summon up each round, right on top of them, so they target it. If the group has a couple fire furies, they'll cast fireballs which will end up hitting the whole group, huge help. (Edit: Occurred to me that if you use Daemon's, they'll hit the furies, and cause them to spread out cause of shift. Hence, while softer, FQs are more effective, they stay in place, and probably die that round, but as long as you keep one up, the Furies can FB themselves and hit the whole group.)

Depending on your level/health, if they cast EF, you're probably going to die. Nothing you can do about that except level more, and get more health.
