Can I get some help? Since the updated installer came out, I cannot get The Realm to play on my VirtualBox (Windows XP) set up OR via the new file put out by The Realm for Macs. The latter, I've tried running solo and in WineBottler.
In VirtualBox, I installed the new software and every time I try to load The Realm, I get the following error:
This application has failed to start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I've reinstalled the game five times.
Can someone please advise me?
With Winebottler, I got it installed in the C Drive, but when I try to run the wlaunch.exe with Wine nothing happens. Thoughts?
They have a native (at least I believe it's native, I don't use a Mac for games) Mac client.

I play on Linux using VirtualBox, and initially had the same error message. You have to download the Visual C++ redistributable package: try this link

The Mac client linked above is Wine-based, and I've found Wine not performing as well since the clients split.
Thanks, Malfiore! That solved my problem and I'm back on The Realm.
This file works perfectly for me. Also if you want to multi-box simply make several copies in the application folder of the realm application. For ease of use I simply named them Realm Acc1 , Realm Acc2, Realm Acc3 … just so I remember which account to sign in and arrange. Also when if/when one handles, I know which one to double click and open. :) Hope it helps and have a blast gaming!
I am playing on a MacBook. I can play just fine, but the midi sounds don't play and it keeps crashing the midi file (though still playable). It is quite annoying. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
