Hi all, just got back to playing the game after a while.
Trying to avoid the grind to leveling, I would like to run multiple accounts on a MAC.
I tried to launch multiple accounts but it wouldn't work on a mac. I even tried the idea of running the instance via terminal command line by writing open -n /Applications/Realm.app but it doesn't open up a new instance.
Has anyone tried successfully running more than one account on mac? If so, would love to hear how you did it.
Many Thanks :)
answering my own question for the newcomers, I ended up copying the program and having 2 realm programs in the application folder. Now that enabled me to run two instances.
hope it helps and good luck all.
(of course the midi/sound isn't working but that isn't a big deal, I always used to just listen to regular music when playing realm)
have fun guys .. this game was since almost 20 years ago. Also just subscribe for 5 bucks no biggie
Dang, I seen this post last night and couldn't get to it. I play with a MAC aswell. Making a copy is what I did. There is still some bugs im facing but it's tolerable. I'm not sure if it's the mac client or in general. Sorry I couldn't get to this til now. Enjoy!!
no worries :) appreciate it. Just glad got this game to work and honestly needs multiple accounts so it isn't a total grind. I hear you some issues here and there. The biggest one I noticed is that after say 30-40 minutes the clicking of the mouse becomes unresponsive. However a simple close client and reopen. It works perfectly.
I use a external wireless mouse.. Don't have that issue anymore. Just getting some graphic issues for a second when clicking doors and people and such. It just flashes white before the graphic shows up. As well as having inventory, backpack and spell cast menu open at once can be buggy. And sometimes the bottom item in backpack doesn't show up hardly. I get a crash every hour or hour and a half. Also have had my screen blackout where I have to exit it and reopen. I hope they get the MIDI fixed, I miss the music. Brings a warm vibe, for a little bit lol. I'm just grateful this game is getting the attention it's needed for a long time!
