Can confirm reinstalling using this zip file worked.
Same problem here. Can't get the patch to work, I get the same error.

Winzip has a trial version that's what i used. There might be alternate programs you can try like https://www.7-zip.org/
That might be working Ryeder. Where do I extract the files to?
The default install path for The Realm is still "C:\Program Files (x86)\Norseman Games"
If Winzip doesn't work, you can use Win-rar. It's at www.win-rar.com and it has versions available for practically every operating system.

Close out, right click realm icon and run as admin. That worked for me and was able to update fine after that. I was getting the same error before.
