Patching on Wine

I'm using Wine on Mac to run Realm. When the patch is 'finished' the app just closes. Does anyone know how the patch mechanism works? How can we update the application via patch. Reinstalling would only work if the msi on the website has been updated and I can't tell that it has.

I figured it out. You need to run wlaunch.exe after the patch update has downloaded. This will run the patch and restart sciw.exe which is what I was trying to run as usual. This worked for me.
