It is pretty clear unless you are an elf you will not have any real viability as a Wizard. Perhaps giving each race a SDM modifier for a caster school could trade that. For example Orc +25 Necro, Giant +25 Ele, Human +25 Myst, and Elf +25 Thaum.
I really like this idea, it would allow for some good diversity in wizard builds.
