Solo character

Hey guys, great to be back in The Realm since the 2x Sierra days. Anyway looking for some input from those of you who have had more time to experiment with the mechanics of the new systems as I've read the old 3x breakpoints do not really apply anymore. I'm looking to build a solo character (Ideally a hybrid) to play solo with. I've experimented with multiboxing a selection of toons at low level and have come to the conclusion it really isn't as enjoyable to me to micromanage 2-4 toons as opposed to focusing on one. Additionally I'd like someone viable for PvP in the very limited chance I'd have for opportunity to do some fights or events.

Thanks for your replies!

Best solo character would be an All Int Elf Wiz. I went from 1 to 1000 solo in probably 3 weeks only playing probably 2-3 hrs a night. By the time you prestige you may feel comfortable adding a character or 2. That’s what I did, now I run 4 comfortably. You could always make an All Dex Elf Thief to go along with your wiz, get him a throwing dagger, and set him to 5 seconds. This will greatly increase the ease of leveling at the lower levels. Hitters & Hybrids really start to hit a wall around level 600. My route from 1 to 1000 was the newb areas around WL & EL until about 25-30ish. Then go to festering hate pool and only kill the two bat fights until 55-60 (Use Multiblade). I’d read a guide on FHP this dungeon will easily take you to 125-150. Once you get tired of FHP and feel it’s to easy, move to Undead Stong Hold (USH). Use the invisible summon greater fairy method. Once you hit 250-300, you can move to Heroic USH. I’d stay in USH as long as possible. Don’t be tempted to sale your heroic keys. HUSH can take you all the way to 1000. You could probably start soloing Holy Caves around 700 but you are really going to struggle with the last 2 bosses. Honestly, you will wish you started two wizards from the start once you prestige. But you’ll learn that the hard way like I did, because I couldn’t be convinced otherwise either ;).

Thanks for your reply Zangulas, I appreciate it! I'm sure the classic AIEW is probably the way to go but I'm looking for something a little more versatile in terms of playstyle, weapons, etc for solo play. Any outside the box idea or unorthodox ideas welcome :D

Probably a Giant Adventure would be your best bet, from what you are describing you want. I think they start with like 6 int, which you’ll want to beef up a little bit. I’d ask in chat how much int you would need to be able to perform some of the better mysticism spells. Should be a pretty good PVP character as well.
