TRO Launcher has encountered a problem. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. I am trying to get TRO going inside a VMware player using Win XP x64. I downloaded the launcher from the website and installed it. But whenever I click on the Game Icon this is the message that I get. Any ideas??

TRO is no longer compatible with Windows XP. Rat Labs redesigned the launcher to use .NET 4.6.1 (also known as .NET 2015) which isn't supported on Windows XP. Windows XP only supports up to 4.0, not 4.6. The oldest operating system TRO will support is Windows 7 now. I just discovered this tonight myself and am very bummed because I can't play TRO on my Windows 10 computer due to my monitor configuration (I have 3 monitors… center one is 1440P and the side ones are 1080P) and the game refuses to go into full screen mode and is too small to play in windowed mode at 1440P. This really sucks because just a few years ago I was playing TRO on a 486 Windows 98 computer with a 1.6 GB HDD and 14 MB Ram with a 1 Mbit Printer Port Network Card (computer didn't have any ISA or PCI slots, so could only get broadband via the printer port which in ECP mode is limited to 1 Mbit). It sucks and I was just thinking about signing up for the paid version of the game, but I can't even play it!
So is there any way around this currently It works and is able to launch Fin Fortress on the first open after an install after that is bugs out. So I have to reinstall the launcher each time I want to play. I have tried running it compatible to I think every type of windows it lets me and this has not solved the issue. I am currently running Windows 10 on my machine and can't get it to work for the life of me.
