We should have parchment we can buy to leave 'away messages' on for players we never seem to be on at the same time to chat with. Buying a mailbox to place on our front lawn would allow players to leave them there or otherwise just leave it on their lawn until they have a mailbox. Something to add to a Sovereign shop. Or maybe a slot on the door so you would not have to open the door. I know we have the in game email option, but just something to add to our homes.

I think it would be just swell if certain caves loot tables were reworked. For instance the drop rates in Dragon Pit(arguably the second most difficult cave in the game) are abysmal in comparison to heroic dungeons. Fafnir's eye is practically unobtainable. No item should be so rare people are afraid to enchant it. Alternatively instead of splitting the very thin player base that exists making a new server that not everyone enjoys the development team could be spending time making more content for FF. Harder PvE content is a must at this point. That way you could make things that have infinitesimally small drop rates such as 900 weapons and Fafs Eyes actually reasonably farmable. Nothing is more boring than running low level caves hundreds of times for one copy of something you need for more than one character. There are not enough players to support a healthy trade system so as long as these items remain farmable only through mind numbingly boring repetition. People will get disinterested and leave. If you take nothing else away from this please take this, harder PvE content please. Reward your players for reaching your end game, don't punish them with boring and daunting cave running.

World bosses returned to Early 2020 & 2019 status where you announce the locations of them. Especially with the reduction in them no longer dropping skill baubles there's no reason to make hunting world bosses a completely fruitless endeavor by not showing which ones are currently alive. Used to subscribe 6 accounts and I reduced that to 0 since that change. Just not worth it when you take the best thing you had going. Agree with JBacon above as well if you want people to continue subscribing after they reach your end game you need to continue to add new content for them. Otherwise they play through your game in a few months and have no incentive to continue subscribing and playing if there are no more goals or challenges for them.

I'd like to see a Bag of Identification that would ID several items at once.

Am i the only one that want higher lvl then 3000? Sometimes i wonder why we shall have a limit of lvls? You could make so we just lvl every 100k exp instead of 10k exp aslong as we can progress the chars we are playing….And please if you do put up higher lvls then fix so we can use Alchemy and smithing so we can make about 1lvl every day if we login to do the crafting/alchemy

World Boss Kill Counter. Every time you kill a world boss it shows how many times the person has killed said world boss. Example:

Info> Ali Khan has been slain by Grayson (3)
Info> Grafvitnir has been slain by Manta (18)
Info> Reanimated Tulor has been slain by Aanatha (37)

I agree with the following 2 posts in some ways: JBacon Apr 25

( In my opinion trade is dead as door as a doornail.) Make those rare items drop more frequently and add more new items instead of focusing on EA!)

This is Vickstress, Vicki Sicola, one of your highest paying customers, I spent $140 last month alone on the MTX store have 8 noble accounts and renew a 9th in October. I am bored with the game and do not play much anymore because the scarcity of 900 weapons and no new game content. I think EA is fun, but it detracts from FF to much. You should be developing FF much more, adding new content and such. The player base is dwindling severely. Some days it's down to 100 or less. I think you need to do something pretty fast or I will cancel all my accounts. I have three of Starrie's keys and haven't been able to redeem them. She no longer answers her MMs and no one else has been able to help me! I don't think you want to lose me as good customer. I have been here from the beginning. I love the Realm very much. But I am playing a new game in the evenings because Realm has little interest for me. Thank you for listening to me. Vicki I also played MistWalkers and Realm from 2002 to 2009, I am not new by any means.

make dispel magic castable in the combat cloud (yes I know you can dispel IF you have more than 1 toon in the group) so if you get stunned, feared etc you can get rid of it. And a mass Identify spell to ID all items in your backpacks

Lobster

This is really long. I thought it was pretty fun to brainstorm ideas and think about new things in the Realm.

Here is a list of things I think would be interesting. My general thought is that the game could be improved by implementing things that do the following:
-give players more things to do
-incentivize people to be more active within the game
-increase ability to interact with the world as well as other players
-attract new/different types of players
I think there is a lot of opportunity using the base Realm that we have and it’s exciting thinking of things that might help.

MORE OPTIONS FOR THINGS TO DO WITHIN THE TOWNS
—For example, it seems like the focus is on fighting monsters and leveling/building skills. There's not much incentive to explore/interact with towns other than buying/selling stuff or sitting for long periods of time.
——Also increases the amount of options and skills to learn, making it more difficult to master everything quickly
——I think secret areas, more freedom to explore/enter buildings/locations, more ability to interact and leave a mark can help

—Ability to get jobs, join clubs/organizations (with duties/quests/interactions to go along with it)
——Alternative ways of gaining experience/skills/items, also increase player interaction, incentivize playing, attract new players
——Job ideas/brainstorm
———Municipal/government (could even allow different towns to determine type, like monarchy vs city council)
————People could find a way to fill these roles for a time and have quests/duties, make decrees, etc.
————Might also be a way to find new ideas- townsfolk want to improve their town, attract business/tourism
————This leads to an idea of maybe having shopkeepers/residents pay taxes to support/incentivize this
———Could even have jobs such as hunting/foraging to supply shops with materials
———Could have crafting jobs for clothing/weapon/armor shops
——clubs/organizations ideas
———Could flesh out the god-supporter groups as an example (also builds story/lore)
———Could have a pvp club in different towns/regions and compete against other clubs
———Could have skill clubs with quests/duties to perform and gain exp/skills/items
——There could even be dedicated skills that go along with these and require working the job/activity vs using levels/build points
———Some other skills could help this though (ex: a skilled warrior might have an easier time starting a weapons shop job)
———Allows people to level up in ways other than fights
———Or maybe could be different type of level, or maybe just new skills that help you when fighting monsters

—I think this would help give incentive to have the level 1000 people interact with lower levels
—Also, could bring in more types of players that don’t necessarily want to do a lot of fighting to level

INCREASE INTERACTION WITH THE WORLD ITSELF
—Can we leave things lying around without monsters always taking them (or maybe just in some places)?
——For example, in real life an animal might take some food or certain shiny things it likes, but not any random thing
——Maybe just something like additional areas beyond the towns where monsters won't take them

—Secret areas, houses/caves/places in the wilderness, towers you can climb, trees you can put things in
——Discovering secrets has always been fun for me (ex: Super Mario Bros. 3, Elder Scrolls games, etc.)
——Could even have NPCs in certain spots that help build the story, can help you with items, can sell, etc.
——More places where they are the only location you can find certain things

—Areas you can't teleport to, or maybe there is some barrier/difficulty that limits times you can, maybe have to earn it somehow
——I think this could incentivize having to travel through and experience the world more
——This could also increase interaction with other players as it would become a higher traffic area
——Don't necessarily need a lot of monsters in these areas, or if they are there they don't necessarily need to attack often
———I think of hiking paths or roads/highways- animals are there but not as much as in the woods

—Ability to leave marks on a wall/tree/rock, place items inside things, “bury” things (can show pile of rocks/leaves)
—Ability to set up a small tent or campsite
——though may need to require skill so they aren’t everywhere
——might require you to harvest nearby resources or use what you’re carrying
——perhaps could allow others to take pieces of this, especially if you leave it
——could allow it to deteriorate over time, pieces scatter, etc. to prevent them being all over

—Ability to harvest your own resources
——to use for crafting, selling, setting up campsites, etc.
——goes along with having jobs that require it
——could be a
——could sometimes have items found when harvesting resources

NPCs THAT YOU CAN INTERACT WITH ON A LARGER SCALE
—I think it would be neat if they walked around and did stuff too
——Maybe even some NPCs that you could group with and fight monsters
——The things they say can enhance the story/lore
——They could help the towns seem more alive
——More active NPCs would likely be needed for the jobs/clubs ideas above (would certainly help)

—Could have legendary characters doing their thing out in the wild (kind of like how bosses roam around)
——Perhaps interactions could rarely result in them giving an item or skill boost
——Talking with them might reveal helpful information

IMPROVE/FLESH OUT LORE
—Think it would help give a sense of being in the world, also make less “mechanical” gameplay
——I think there is a lot of opportunity to build history/info in a lot of places within the game.
———There are multiple doors that can't be opened, there are a lot of buildings in the towns.
———For example, the Undead Stronghold dungeon has the Ralumon family
————It gives me interest in who these guys are
————Why are they in the dungeon?
————What is their history? What is their significance within the Realm?
————Are they known for having a special item or did they somehow affect Bob in Caer Fandry?
———Another example: there are temples- but what reason is there to visit them or even care about them?
————Could be another good place to have active NPCs

—This makes Legendary and/or Fabled items/equipment that much more exciting
——Could hear about them through talking to NPCs, reading things in towns and wild areas
——Could even have exaggerations/items NPCs don’t even know about
——Certain ‘monsters’ could have personal items that rarely drop, such as Naktos’ baldric

—Have a rolling story that changes over time- possible idea
——Similar to Leinster being huge in 2.x, catching fire in 3.x, then becoming gardens and two towns
——Certain NPCs could change what they are interested in, could leave, etc.
——Having players as elected officials could also move the story

Very good post and some great ideas. Some of the Role Playing with the gods was done in Storyline in the past and unfortunately, is not done any more. Back in the day, we had a great storyline and activities involved with it. The opening of Mabon's Temple is just one example. There was a puzzle that had to be solved to get the temple to open completely. I hope the developers read your ideas and take some into consideration. Thanks for the great input.

I used to play this game back when I was a kid. I had a lot of fun times running dungeons and pvping, but one of the things I enjoyed the most was an item. The Wrath. It was a staple item to the game. Everyone had one…You had to have one to progress. When you pvp'd, you had a purple 2 handed sword swinging away, knocking people over. It was great. Not only did it do great damage, but it could drop nearly anywhere. Pretty sure I got one off a rat one time. Even though you could find them almost anywhere, they still felt rare. Some were destroyed enchanting, some were lost pvping, sometimes you had to fill 4 character slots with wrath wielders. This did a few things; it made a somewhat easily attainable gear build that allowed you to progress in content without worrying about getting one extremely rare item to make you relevant, and it allowed for "regretless" pvp that still had the consequences of losing your stuff when you die. When you went out to pvp, you knew, at worst, you would be losing your wrath. Yes, it sucked to lose your wrath, but, you could always get a new one and FIVES that baby up.

Also, null sword…bring it back to the guardians with the black baldric and heavy resistance to myst magic.

I just wish items felt special again. Everything is super formulaic now. Everything feels super copy pasted. Also so much loot being tied to a specific chest/bone pile/boss makes mob of the areas feel kind of dull.

LilWulf

Loot filters. Ability to add items to a list that prevents you from picking them up if you hit the "Take All" button

MECHBeast

Northern Steppes and Crystal Mountains, please!

Pumppants

Could we have a FILTER on the FIGHT DIALOGUE window? ie being able to choose what is shown?
i.e. being able to ONLY show total damage instead of all the chanted damage. Or only showing shields (if thats what you want). etc.

Or could I have faster eyeballs??

BoboGene

Bring back Pickpocketing!
