Post Challenger Test Server bugs here…

KNOWN BUGS:
*Adventurer Class cannot learn any class specific skills/spells. This is not intent and will be remedied in near future.
*Cannot equip weapons in combat via 'Use' button.
*Character is too large and/or head missing at character selection and 'look at' screens.
*Thief 'Trap' spells are not implemented yet.
*Cannot drag and sell/trade items to either NPC or PC.
*Cannot click on items on ground. (Must use Alt-T)
*Healing Thorns does not heal PC.

Still getting the illegal memory access error, fighting in a warrior/wizard group in West Bloodwood, taking us both down about every four fights.

Performance:
Definitely more stable, but animation slows to a crawl as soon as melee begins in combat. This persist after the fight sometimes, and seems to reset at the beginning of the next fight, but immediately slows again on first melee attack.

After maybe 20-30 fights, if the client hasn't crashed, the combat UI bugs out - no exit button or loot list when combat ends, can't exit cloud.

Gameplay:
Grimnosh already got some of these, but…

  • removing last spell from favorites spell list cancels changes made to favorites list since spellbook was opened - repro: add 2 spells to the favorites list, remove 1, close spell list, reopen and you'll see one was removed successfully, add it back, close and reopen, see 2 in list, remove both, close and reopen, see both still in list.
  • it seems you can only go to a toon's house if they are logged on, at least if you are < 25, it says you haven't earned a house yet and takes you to EL tp - it that intended? When the toon is logged on, another toon that is < 25 can go to their house as expected.
  • shift says it costs 5 mana, but it actually costs 15 to cast
  • regen potions try to heal before curing poison, so heal fails
  • I know theives aren't fully implemented, but I can't learn "Backstab" on my lvl 2 dark theif despite being able to learn other lvl 2 dark spells
  • don't know if this is intended, but thieves (NPCs) seem to never drop gold they steal - losing 1k as soon as you walk on screen can be rough at low lvl, are we supposed to spend bps on PP at low level to prevent this?

16 is the correct cost but the 3 mana thing will be fixed. Thanks for the heads up!

Trying to run test server but I get a D3DInit popup that says 'Direct3D hardware initialization failed, falling back to software'. It will log on but client is disproportionate and does not function correctly. Any ideas?

Maybe I don’t get how it’s supposed to work, but elemental warrior healing thorns doesn’t seem to do anything.

When I die and press “go home” it sends me to EL TP and movement speed increase from F12 works in open world until its reset by entering combat again.

killing fields and forest of the dead is empty. mass heal - 6 hp restored. Reputation doesn't seem to do anything.

Added to OP known bugs. This may be fixed on next update. Thanks for the report!

KF and FOD will be populated with the next update. Reputation will be a currency used for unique items (future content). Mass Heal, I will investigate. Thanks for the report!

Throwing daggers degrade very quickly and are expensive to repair. My thief is spending at least 5x as much as my warrior does on weapon repair. Not exactly a bug, but this was the closest forum I could find to point this out.

Shmoo is no longer poisoned.
Shmoo mumbles 'Domni vescance!' under his breath.
Shmoo cannot be healed while poisoned!

Since the addition of dark and holy damage, weapons with fire and ice perms no longer drop. Dark damage doesn't show as working in the combat log, and holy is a proc. As a result a new 4-banger weapon is really about a 2.5-banger. My old FIV maul strongly outperforms a maul found recently with acid, dark, holy & poison.

Side note: I asked about dark damage three weeks ago in the Existing Content thread and so far, haven't gotten a reply. I hope everyone's alright. You've been good about responding to questions about this server, so I worry that someone's gotten sick. Sending good thoughts your way.

armor doesn't seem to work? im a warrior and ive tried fighting both with and without a full suit of iron armor and i take the same damage from monsters no matter what
